Fashion house · Tashkent, since 2012
Heritage. Artistry. Exclusivity.
Founded in 2012 by fashion designer Ra'no Khamraeva, a fashion house uniting the rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan with the aesthetics of contemporary high fashion.
Working in Haute Couture and Prêt-à-Porter de Luxe, the house treats a garment not as clothing but as a work of art, a cultural memory and an inheritance passed from one generation to the next.

Every garment a singular piece
Brand DNA
At the heart of the Ra'no Collection DNA lies a single idea: to reinterpret the historic and artistic heritage of Uzbekistan in the language of contemporary fashion.
The designer draws on national dress and historic silhouettes, ancient Suzani embroidery, Uzbek applied arts, architecture, ornament, natural silk and the traditions of handcraft.
These historic codes are combined with modern silhouettes, couture construction and present-day aesthetics to create the visual language particular to Ra'no Collection.

For this house, national identity is not a repetition of the past. It is the transformation of heritage into the fashion of the future.
Each collection sets out to reopen a particular layer, symbol or historic memory of Uzbek culture for a new generation.

Craftsmanship

Ra'no Collection is not built on a philosophy of mass production. One of the house's greatest values is art made by human hands.
Intricate embroidery, hand ornamentation, Suzani motifs, beadwork and stonework, natural fabrics and traditional techniques give every garment its own character.
For this reason the garments are created not as a single-season trend but as collectible fashion pieces that hold their value and meaning for years.

The atelier
Hand embroidery, Suzani motifs and beadwork worked stitch by stitch. What takes weeks at the atelier table is what gives each piece its character — and its life beyond a single season.
Clientele
The house creates for women of the upper-middle and premium segment who value individuality, quality, artistry and cultural meaning.
For this woman luxury is not merely costly fabric or ornament. Luxury is singularity, mastery, time, history and meaning.
Her purchase is therefore never simply a garment or a length of cloth. She acquires a fragment of the history of Uzbekistan, the trace of an artisan's hand, and a heritage she can leave to the generation that follows.

Founder
Fashion designer, entrepreneur and mentor in fashion education
A formally educated designer, she brings nearly twenty years of experience in fashion and costume design.
In 2005 she completed the Historic Theatre Costume programme at the P.P. Benkov Republican Art College, and in 2009 the Costume Design programme at the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Art and Design.
In her early career she worked as a costume designer in the film industry; that deep study of historic character, costume, colour, form and period aesthetics went on to shape her design language.
In 2012 she founded Ra'no Collection. Today her work seeks to present the rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan to the world within a contemporary fashion context.
Mission
Ra'no Collection's highest aim is to preserve and develop the invaluable cultural and artisanal heritage of Uzbekistan through contemporary fashion, and to turn it into an aesthetic code recognised on the international stage.
The house does not confine itself to preserving ancient craft as a museum exhibit. Its mission is to carry that craft into the life of the modern woman, to pass it to a new generation, and to show the world the particular luxury language of Uzbekistan.
Its ambition is to grow into a global luxury fashion house that represents Uzbekistan on the international stage, with a clear visual code and deep cultural roots.
Manifesto
We turn to history to create fashion, but we do not remain in history.
We translate the ornament, embroidery, textile and craft left to us by our ancestors into the language of modern fashion.
Because for us a garment is not simply clothing.
Ra'no Collection — fashion born of the heritage of Uzbekistan, created for the future.
